Ecotones*

The work “Ecotons: Fronteres Interactives” is an artistic installation that explores the dynamic borders between different ecosystems. Inspired by the concept of ecotone, this creation celebrates biodiversity and the interdependence of natural habitats, with special attention to the landscapes of the Lleida area, the territory of the four authors. The aim of the work is to visualize and celebrate the richness and dynamism of ecotones. The interactive installation, composed of a central fabric and two projectors, allows viewers to create their own ecotones by selecting different combinations of ecosystems through buttons. As the selected ecosystems are projected onto the canvas, new visual representations are generated that show how the elements of each habitat are mixed and interacted. The work is, therefore, a visual metaphor of this constant and changing fusion,
